geology field trip Sunday

A second field trip Sunday means that we can now call it a tradition, doesn't it? This time we went for a geology field trip in the surroundings of Lavras Novas, more precisely we went hunting for black crystals. Coline says they do not exist, what a delightful challenge. So far she was not proven wrong, but I have more than one bunnies in my hat, or let's say that I know a special museum in town, which I am keeping for a potential rainy Sunday. So far, it has been good to rediscover beautiful spots close to Ouro Preto and thereby transition from lazy indoor couch potatoes to ruthless adventurers. It did take some wild strawberries and a dip in fesh mountain water to get us fully awake. What a beautiful morning we had! (Leila was at a friend's, we missed her company)

  1. Hmm, Cris didn't show us these outcrops last September. Keeping the best places to himself, is he ?
